Privacy Policy
Effective 24 August 2026
How we collect, use and protect your personal information. Because we serve people worldwide, we aim to comply with the data-protection laws that apply to you, including the EU/UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act, the California CCPA/CPRA, and other local laws.
Who is responsible for your data
X Party Dresses (ABN 15 167 159 592) is the data controller responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is used, as described in this policy.
What we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address and (if you provide it) phone number.
- Payment details — your PayPal email, so sellers can be paid and buyers can pay. We do not see or store your PayPal password or card numbers.
- Listing content — the photos, descriptions and item details you submit.
- Location — the suburb/city and country of an item, for buyers.
- Usage data & cookies — basic information about how you use the site.
How we collect it
Directly from you when you fill in a form, list an item, buy an item, or subscribe to our updates (via MailerLite), and automatically as you use the site.
Why we use it
- To operate the platform, publishing listings, connecting buyers and sellers, and processing payments and payouts.
- To contact you about your listings, purchases, or enquiries.
- To send you marketing or updates only if you’ve opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the platform safe and to meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
- With the other party to a sale, for example, a buyer’s delivery details are shared with the seller so they can post the item.
- With PayPal to process payments, and MailerLite to manage email if you subscribe.
- Where required by law.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.
Overseas transfers
Because we serve buyers and sellers worldwide and use providers such as PayPal and MailerLite, your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled with appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where the law requires them.
How long we keep it
We keep account and transaction information for as long as your account is active, and for up to 7 years afterward to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations. Listing photos and descriptions are generally deleted
